A Relaxing Sunday.

Hello Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well! What a start to Sunday, we were so sleepy last night that we didn't wake up until seven thirty this morning!

I mean, that's half way through the afternoon!

The new ceilings are still drying off and all the windows in the house were all dripping with water, so, that was Old Two Legs first job, wipe the windows and open the windows up to let out the damp air!

We headed off for our walk and it was very misty, not the ideal conditions for landscape photography!

Sheerness has gone!
Holly said that it looks like Sheerness has sunk!

Mr Brambles said the he wouldn't go near the sea, just in case he got lost in the mist and anyway, he could sniff woofers on the breeze!

Mmmm, I sniff Woofers!
Miss Snowflake said he was being a wimp and to prove it, she headed for the rocks for an early morning wee!
Nearly finished!
Mind you, OTL was on his knees taking pictures of us all when suddenly he couldn't see Snowflake!

Fearing she had go lost in the mist we all called out to her! Then OTL had a look in the ferret bag and guess what?

Guess Who?
Back home OTL cleaned out the ferret house and re filled the food bowl but he didn't look behind him to see that the ferrets were stealing the food from the store box!

I Might Stash Some of These!
Of course, the biggest thief was Mr Brambles 'cos he is putting on weight for Winter!

Mmm, Breakfast!
Back home OTL sat down to work on the videos for The Missus but had terrible problems 'cos one is too long and he says that TM will have to do it again and not gas so much!

We had a lazy morning and at lunchtime we were down the beach again and ran into a big wooly woofer with a bad case of arthritis which means he couldn't chase us. So, being big and brave we did a really big woof at him!

Instead of chasing us he just stuck his tongue and blew an enormous raspberry at us!

Raspberries to you, you noisy Woofers!
Further on we came across our mate the Little Egret and he was too busy looking for his dinner. So we left him to it and headed back home again.

Still looking for dinner!
Back home, Holly and I had a really good brush from OTL while we were watching one of his Nature Programs on the TV.

TM should be home tonight and we will be questioning her carefully about this 'Elf Hat' that Archie Babe mentioned yesterday!

Keep yer tail up Lucy!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Bye Bye Workmen!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

It's been a funny old day today, we were up and out before it was light, again!

'Coos The Missus is away 'Glue Slapping' there is no one at home when we go out for a walk and if there is no one at home then there is no one to let the workmen in to start work!

So, we had to get up early and get out and back again before they were due to turn up.

Which means more wee'ing in the dark!

When we got back, Old Two Legs got a message on his phone to say that they would be a bit late!

Holly said it would be a good idea if we set the ferrets on them, just to get them to move a bit quicker!

Before they arrived, OTL took a picture of the lounge to show that he prefers the 'Minimalist' look!

A Chair, a TV and somewhere to put your whisky!
Mind you, there is a load of stuff up stairs and in the Dining Room section it is a little 'crowded'!

Too Busy for us!
Mind you, the ferrets thought it was marvellous, loads of places to explore and get lost in!

We didn't take the camera this morning, too dark, but lunchtime it came walkies with us!

Mean an' Moody
We had sunshine and a little breeze, nothing too cold and it was great fun on the beach.

Holly got into conversation with a couple of Westies and one wanted to come home with us 'cos he heard that I hadn't finished my Chicken & Biscuits!

Cheeky Woofer!

OTL, can he come home with us?
Holly was all full of it, running and jumping and trying to fly again.

Undercarriage down!
OTL pointed out a water pipe that had been leaking water for as long as we can remember. He says that it must be a drain from the Sea Wall somewhere.

It just keeps dribbling out!
OTL sat on a bench while Holly and I were sniffing around the rabbits hunting ground and thought that he took loads of pictures of other people an very few of himself.

Taking pictures of himself is a bit of a problem 'cos his arms aren't long enough, so, he tried this way!

An OTL Selfie!

I think he should next try mirrors!

Well, the workmen finished late this afternoon and they cleared off leaving OTL to re assemble the lounge.

So, now we are going to have some of his dinner and enjoy a snooze!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Old Inky Fingers has gone!

Hello Woofers!

Us back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Today we have been turfed out of bed too early, confined to locked rooms, kept in the dark about what is happening when we can hear such terrible noises down stairs!

It started with another 'Dark' walk on the beach. Miss Snowflake reversed into a large rock pool and had a wee while swimming back to the shore!

Mr Brambles stayed on the sand and just dug a hole, well, it's better than falling off the rock!

When we got back home there was a strange sniff of a Two Legs, Old Two Legs said it was Darren who had come to sort out the hole in the ceiling, you know, the one where all that water came sloshing down ages ago!

Well, he has been scraping and cutting and nailing and using an electric scraper that OTL reckons sounds like a dentist drill!

Horrible!

After doing all that he has now re plastered the ceiling in the dining area that is now TM's 'Work Station'!

Yus Mate! Then we just Slap it on, upside down!
There was so much noise that we stayed with OTL in his office and tried to sleep!

It didn't always work, so, just a bit earlier than normal we told OTL that it was time for 'Walkies'!

It was a bit chilly again but we had a run on the beach which warmed us up.

As we trotted along the Sea Wall, there, in the distance, we saw a TL with a woofer, and it looked HUGE!

I thought that it would be a good idea to take a 'Low Profile', so I went into my 'Commando Mode' and did the Commando Creep!

He won't see me like this!

OTL was laughing his head off, why was I doing the Commando Creep?

'Shh!' I said, 'Trouble Ahead'

It looks very dangerous to me!
Then, without any warning whatsoever, the TL and the woofer turned right and went up the hill so as not to cross our path!

OTL said that we had scared him off by creeping along looking all 'Mean and Nasty'!

Yeah, Right, that's us!

Back home and we were locked in the bedroom while OTL took TM down to The Cat Woman who was driving them both off to their weekend of Glue Slapping!

That means, OTL will be cooking our dinners!

Super!

The Plasterer Man will be back tomorrow to finish off the lounge, so that will be a laugh, OTL reckons we may head off to The Forest for a longer walk and he can wear his new wellies, he is a big puppy really, he just wants to slosh around in the muddy bits!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

We found The Balls!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, no messing about with cameras this morning, we were woken up at some ridiculous hour when it was still dark and damp and chilly!

Seems Old Two Legs had to get some stuff our to a customer who was taking it with him on a aeroplane today and OTL had promised delivery, in person!

So, there we all were, on the beach, looking for a place to have a wee, in the dark!

We had to keep calling to each other, just to make sure we didn't wee on each others paws!

Have you ever heard a ferret whistle? Well, that was what Mr Brambles did to keep us all away!

As we were heading back to the car, the sun was creeping over the horizon and sort of lit up the clouds. It was then that OTL said he wished he had brought his camera!

Yeah? Then he would have spent so much time 'Waiting for The Light' that his customer would have caught the aeroplane and had been in Florida a week and still be waiting for his bits!

As it was, OTL made it on time and we now have a Happy Customer, which is what it's all about!

Talking of being Happy, Holly and I found where we had left three of our balls, that is the ones the ferrets haven't snaffled and stashed in their 'Secret' place!

Holly started by running down stairs and tossing it into the air then chasing it around the lounge. I then joined in and we got into a bit of a 'Rough House' pushing, shoving and snarling at each other!

Great Fun!

Then OTL started to throw the ball up and down the stairs for us to chase, well, that's what he was doing until The Missus told him off for making too much noise!

At lunchtime we went down the Sea Wall again, rabbit hunting!

OTL said he saw one but we missed it all together, so, to make up for it, Holly found a bit of wood and we chased each other along the sandy bit of beach pretending that the one who had the stick was a rabbit!

Me, Hunting a Big Porky Rabbit!
Mind you, that rabbit tried to get away but I was just too fast for her and I ran her to ground!

Well, actually, she tripped over her paws and collapsed onto the sand all out of breath!

I'm finished, this is just too much for me!

Further along the Sea Wall we spotted a Little Egret fishing around for his lunch. The tide was on it's way in so the soppy bird was son busy he didn't notice OTL trying to creep along the beach to get closer.

That was until OTL raised his camera to take a shot, whereupon, the bird squawked and shot into the air and raced off down the beach out of sight!

Now, how about a Mollusc for 'Afters'?

Back home, and we got a chew as a treat for being such good puppies followed by a snooze while OTL was taking apart the furniture ready for the workmen!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Miss Snowflake has a Tinkle on a Grey Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Now, first of all, for the benefit of Mr Peterc who has shown amazement that the ferrets didn't get first dibs at Old Two Legs new boots.

Have you no faith in the inquisitiveness of ferrets?

OK Watssis Hole? Sniffs Really Rubbery!
And this is before OTL picked up the packing material inside the box!

We played a joke on Miss Snowflake this morning when we were on the beach. You see, she had sneaked off for a wee and couldn't find her favourite rock, so, she sort of hung onto some sea weed and swung her but over the edge!

Then she said that she could hear water tinkling like a tap had been left on and who was doing it and would they turn the tap off!

Wossat Tinkling Sound?
Well, we all sussed what it was straight away but we kept straight faces and said we couldn't hear a thing!

No, no tinkling sound here!
Of course, as soon as she had finished, the tinkling finished! Then she spent the next ten minutes searching for the source of the Tinkle!

I bet it is that Slimy Thing doing it!
Of course, we just had to move up the beach 'cos we were all laughing our tails off!

What a Bozo she is sometimes!

Back home it was Chicken and Biscuits followed by a snooze while OTL and The Missus was clearing the lounge of stuff ready for the plasterer to arrive tomorrow to repair the ceiling, prior to the decorator coming to redecorate the lounge. There will be loads of mess everywhere but TM is sneaking off to a 'Weekend Retreat' of Glue & Glitter sloshing but this time she is doing the demonstrating!

We are going to have some fun while she is away!

Lunchtime arrived and off we went down the beach again, it was cold, grey and damp and OTL didn't wear his boots today!

When we got down to the car park there was an enormous CamperTruck parked up!

Now I know it can get a bit muddy sometimes down on the Sea Wall but that was over doing it a bit!

That says 'We Do Deep Puddles'!
The tide was in and had washed some of the stones right up the beach leaving some old canvas bags full of sand. Holly reckoned it would be a good idea for us to take a couple home with us but OTL said there was not enough room for the sacks and us!

Well, we didn't fancy walking home, so the bags stayed!

Can we take them home?
Looking across the river we couldn't see Sheerness! You could tell it was a Really Grey Day'!

Is there anyone there?
Back at the car park, the CamperTruck was still there and you know what? It even had a a winch on the front and it looks like it was mechanically powered from the engine rather than an electric motor! Serious stuff or wot?

Light Weight CamperTruck!
OTL was looking at it and reckons it would be great for some 'Wild Camping' in Scotland! But in North Kent?

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL's Got New Boots!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It was a bit chilly this morning, not the sun shine and balmy breezes of yesterday!

I must admit, if I could have got in the bag with the ferrets then I would have!

Mr Brambles looked at the morning sky and said 'Red Sky in the Morning, Ferret Take Warning!'

He reckons it is going to rain soon!

A Ferrets Warning?
Miss Snowflake was behind the rock again but was concerned that Mr Brambles was peeking at her!

Honest! I'm not peeking!
Of course, Holly and I kept calling out 'He's Peeking!'

Miss Snowflake had some fun climbing over the sea weed and of course, she landed up in the wet bit!

This looks like a Soggy Bit
We were having fun when Holly spotted a strange looking thing on the sea wall. OTL said it was a 'Mermaids Purse'. We thought he was having a laugh but it seems like he was right, it is the egg sack for a Skate or even a Shark!

Holly said she hoped it was a Skate 'cos she didn't fancy sharks swimming around our beach!

Mermaids Purse!
On our way back to the car a new young woofer came steaming along the path he took one look at the camera and said that he could see another woofer, then he said 'Wossyourname?' then turned around and ran off before OTL could answer!

Wossyourname?
Back home we had some fun chasing around the house and both ferrets were climbing all over the stuff in The Missus's card room, of course that soon made them tired with all the climbing up the shelves!

Mr Brambles retired to his bed and snoozed like wot only a ferret can!

This is good!
It was just before lunchtime when the delivery man knocked on the door with OTL's new Wellington Boots!

So, after checking them out for fit, he had to find a chunky pair of socks to pad them out a little.

Then we went out for the lunchtime walk, in The Forest'!

Well, that was the soggiest place we knew!

OTL's New Boots!
It was fun watching him sploshing about in the mud like a little TL!

We finally spotted a squirrel digging up some nuts for dinner!

Just collecting my Dinner!
After spotting one we then kept a good watch out for another, but unfortunately we didn't even get a sniff of one!

And I nearly fell off the log!

This is getting Slippy!
OTL was pointing out that the leaves were almost gone from the trees, so, it should be easier to spot those squirrels in the trees.

That is providing they have woken up from their winter snoozing!

Last of the leaves!
Half way around the forest we came across this fungi that was getting rained upon! You can tell it was raining 'cos there were drips hanging from the cap!

Dripping!
Back home to have a snooze before dinner. Not too sure what OTL has for dinner but we are planning to give him a good mugging!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr (Snoozy) Brambles.

Is That The Sun We See?

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You know, when Old Two Legs gets going with his camera, it is amazing just how many shots he takes. Look at today, it was sunny this morning, chilly but sunny. Lunchtime we were down the forest looking for fungi and in all he took one hundred and seventy shots!

OTL says that is the wonder of digital 'cos in the OLD DAYS, which he knows all about, he used to take photographs on a film camera with twenty four or thirty six shots per roll of film and he would only look at taking just one shot of each subject, unlike today, he was taking four or five shots of the same thing but at different angles, depending on the sun etc.

Also, digital doesn't cost you anything where as film cost money to get processed and then printed onto paper!

Lucky OTL, photography has gone down in price!

This morning we were down on the beach and the first photo he took of Holly and me, I had the choice of ten pictures to put on the blog!

This is the one I chose!

One of Ten!
On the beach Miss Snowflake headed for her favourite rock and didn't say anything about the paper!

That's better!
Mind you, after she has finished, there is just one thing on her mind............

Back to the Bag!
OTL emptied her out when he got to the Sea Wall and took this photo. Now, you have just got to work out if she is 'Going Down' a step or 'Climbing up Backwards' or even 'Going up Forwards'!

Answers on a Ten Pound Note please!
OTL spent most of the morning on the computer and making stuff that he had to get down to the carrier. Now, going to the carrier means we get to go to The Forrest!

Holly and I were looking for squirrels and OTL was looking for Fungi!

First Fungi 10" diameter!
This was a 'Huge Fungi' that we almost fell over! We were keeping our eyes open for some of those Fly Things, you know, the ones with red caps with white spots and fairies sit on them!

I see no Fairies, just OTL!
The whole forest was full of fungi, loads of it we had seen before, like the puff balls and little parasol type but we did see these again  and they looked prettier than last time!

Climbing up the trunk!
Talk about climbing up a trunk, Holly was doing her best to spot squirrels and fungi, so to make sure she got a good view, she spent a lot of time climbing up trees!

No Squirrels but I see a Fungi!
This one she found was a sort of Faded Purple Rose colour which we hadn't seen before, so that was another first for OTL!

Faded Purple Rose Colour
Talking of firsts, OTL has only ever come up with a Stag Horn Fungi on a field trip he took last year and the fungi was a very rich yellow and dark orange colour. You should have seen him getting excited about finding a White Stag Horn Fungi in our woods!

A White Stag Horn Fungi!
While OTL was celebrating his good luck, there was a mighty crashing in the forest and this Bozo came rushing up to us with a tree trunk in his mouth. He put it at OTL's feet and woofed at him to 'Throw The Stick'!

OK, now we know that OTL will always join in the fun but we reckon that if he threw it, the Bozo would get to it before it landed and might get a whack on the head for his trouble!

Aw! Come on Throw The Stick!
You know, there are Bozo's and there are 'Right Bozo's' and we reckon this was a Right Bozo!

Coming to the end of our walk OTL hid from the sun behind a tree and took this photo, not bad, but he has taken better!

Autumn in The Forest.
Before we got to the last gate, there it was, in amongst the fallen tree trunks, a super fine bunch of fungi.

Holly said it was just as good as the first one we saw when we came in, except it was a different type of fungi and it had a buttery colour as well!

The Last Fungi!

Back home OTL headed for the computer and typed in 'Lined Wellington Boots'!

He has finally got fed up with walking through muddy puddles in his boots and now will be striding along in his 'Farmer Wellies', when they arrive!

We just hope he doesn't try walking through puddles that turn out to be small ponds that are deeper than his wellies!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
