Not the Best Friday we have had!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Do you ever get those days when it starts off well but then sort of crash dives into the biggest pile of poo you can imagine?

Well, today it has been one!

Started off just great, we went for our walk down on the beach, dug a few holes, sniffed a few sniffs, told a ferret where to dig their own hole and the sun was shinning!

What could possibly go wrong?

'ere! This is a sniff worth saving for later on this afternoon!
Of course, Holly Chops got so excited that she dived into the sniff and used it all up, saving none for the afternoon stroll!

I just gotta have a roll! I just can't resist it, I can't wait!
So, there it was, a sniff to die for being used up by a Porky Woofer with no self control!

Miss May dug a couple of holes then went up to Holly to get a taste of her hole and sniff but Holly was being all 'Possesive' and told her where to go!

This is My 'Ole, so go and find your own!
Back home we had fun sun bathing in the garden while Old Two Legs was doing his jobs and doing some 'Manufacturing' for a customer who got in a panic 'cos they had run out of stuff!

Lunchtime Freddy and Miss Wendy came with us 'cos they thought that it wasn't going to be too hot.

We parked up in the car park where the football pitch is and OTL opened the back door and Holly and I flew out!

Just as we hit the ground we both got a sniff of fox poo!

Off we raced right into the middle of the football pitch where this super pile was calling to us!

OTL didn't see us start 'cos he was getting the ferrets on their leads and sorting out the ferret bag where the poo bags and camera is kept.

He scoops he ferret up and shuts the door, locks it, then he calls us!

Did we take any notice? Not blooming likely!

We rolled and wriggled and rolled and pushed each other out of the way then we rolled again and wriggled our tails in it and then working it all over our backs and shoulders and then we both dived onto it so that it was all over our tummies!

OTL gave a whistle calling us away from the fox poo, we had suddenly gone all deaf to OTL and his whistle, even when he did his big, loud, pay attention, whistle.

We were still rolling and diving and wriggling our tails off!

Well, OTL sat down on a bench with the ferret and we could see him saying something but Holly and I had both gone totally deaf!

Well, to cut a long tale a bit shorter, we finally left the poo and joined OTL at the bench but there was a problem, OTL didn't think our covering of fox poo was what he wanted to share in an enclosed car!

Back home we were going to show The Missus but we got marched straight out to the back garden where OTL got the bath out of the shed, then he got a bucket of warm water and a bottle of shampoo and a brush. I was stripped of my collar and harness and plonked into the bath tub. I got soaked with water, covered with shampoo and scrubbed all over from the tip of my tail to the top of my nose! I got squeezed and scrubbed and scrubbed again until I lost all the fox poo and sniffed like a Tart!

Then I got rinsed down and dried in one of our doggy towels then finally I got shoved into the kitchen to cool off.

Then it was Holly's turn, she got the same treatment, and you know how much she hates water!

Finally she was dried off and shoved into the kitchen to cool down as well!

It was Horrible!

Still, there is some good news. it's TM & OTL's wedding anniversary, thirty years!

OTL says that we will have a Chinese tonight, so that means we will get some Plawn Clackers and Plawns!

Well, I suppose it's not all bad.

But we did enjoy that fox poo!

See you tomorrow!

How to be extra sneeky and get someone else into trouble!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Wot a super fun day it's been and we came out on top, as normal!

Let me tell you of our adventure!

It started this morning, there we were looking forward to a run on the beach but when we got there, it was raining!

We didn't feel too happy about that, I mean, I don't mind a swim but rain drops on my tail, no thanks!

You know, I've had better walks!
A bit later on the sun came out, just in time as well. We had visitors!

Auntie Zoe and all the family, and then there was Auntie Jane and her family, which includes three nine month old Jack Russel/Poodle cross woofers!

We have in the past referred to them as Jack Doodles!

Normally we keep well away 'cos three can be a bit of a handful!

We decided to go down to the beach to stretch our legs before lunch.

They all look like tourists!
As soon as we were out of the car we walked over to the woofers and told them that although the tide was out, their Two Legs wouldn't mind if they went for a paddle in the Medway Mud!

.....and we got permission as well, I think!
Well, that was it, loads of shouting about staying out of the mud but that didn't mean a thing! In they went and of course sunk in up to their tummy's in squidgy mud!

Of course Holly and I sat on the beach laughing our tails off, I mean, we haven't done that in years!

What was funny was that they had to go back in the mud to keep it wet 'cos every time they came out it started to dry and they couldn't run properly!

This is getting all stiff under my tail!
What was even funnier, they came tearing up the beach and tried to wipe the mud off on OTL's back!

'ere, let's have a rub on your back!
They were covered in mud, it was everywhere, under their tails, under their tummy's and under their chins!

A right soggy doggy!
Megan, Finley and Ethan were playing with a bubble machine and OTL managed to snap a picture of the lights on the bubbles!

It looks like fairies!
Ethan found a small crab under the rocks and just had to show OTL.

A Nargle Crab!
Louie got told he was heading for a bath when he got back home and rushed off to OTL to see if he could be excused but there was no way he was getting out of that!

If I have a good shake, would that count as a bath?
Finley, Ethan and Megan took it in turns walking the woofers back to the car while Megan walked Oscar!
Look, it's almost dry now!
They were still trying to get out of having a bath but there was no way they were getting out of a through wash!
A brush would get it all off!
Well, when we all got home they were plonked in the bath that OTL had got for us and given a really good wash from the tip of their tail to the top of their nose!

Then they got a rub down with our doggy towels which I must admit, made them look a lot better. Of course, they sniffed like a load of tarts!

I'll bet they remember today for a long time!

All three gave OTL a licky kiss on his nose as a 'Thank You' for being gentle and not getting soap in their eyes and ears!

We are now looking forward to a good snooze on the sofa this evening!

See you all tomorrow!

It's Freddy Boys Birthday Today!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy (the Birthday Boy) and Eric de Ferret!

Well, what a fun day it's been, first thing this morning Freddy was first up at the cage door and got himself a big 'Birthday Dollop' of Ferretone! Then he had a cuddle with Old Two Legs and we all sang his 'Happy Birthday Song'!

We can sing it again 'cos he has just woken up, ready, after seven.

One, Seven!

Happy Birthday to Fred,
Fried eggs on your head,
A Sticky Chicken for dinner,
Happy Birthday to Fred!

We reckon he is five years old, plus or minus a bit 'cos we can't be too sure 'cos he came to us via the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue and Freddy isn't too good at counting!

No matter how old he is, he is still loved by us all, even with his big tummy!

Freddy just loves a game of chase with Wendy but his favourite game is 'Tickle Tums' which he plays with OTL!

OTL rolls him onto his back and then tickles him under his chin and all the way down to his tail. Freddy just can't stop laughing and at the same time he tries to grab OTL's finger for a 'Pretend Chew'!

Down on the beach it was all quiet 'cos we were a little early and OTL gets a chance to play with the sun rise!

Looks good enough for a swim!
Miss May was rolling around all over the place and she dug a good sized hole!

Just what is that woofer doing?
Holly was watching May and decided she would have a dig and a roll as well. First she made sure she wasn't anywhere near the water, well you don't want water sloshing into your well dug hole do you?
Holly Holes are the best!
Anyone can dig holes but not everyone can get in for a swim!

There is nothing better than an early morning dip!
Young Eric was having fun ferreting around in the grass looking for any new sniffs. He has been playing games with OTL, every time he gets out of the cage in the morning he goes on a rampage around the office and climbs all over the place, this morning OTL found him on top of the guitar hanging up in OTL's office!

No swimming for me, I look too good!
Lunchtime Freddy really had a special run on the beach. He was allowed to do a bit of sunbathing then he got a carry up to the Sea Wall where he had a sniff before getting carried again!

On the football pitch he very gently strolled along then he got another carry up to the car where a bowl of water was waiting for him in the back of the car!

I could get used to this life style!
OTL had to go out this afternoon so Holly and I stood by the bedroom window waiting for him to come home.

Now he is back we are off to mug him for his dinner!

See you tomorrow!

A day for tourists!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

It's been another sunny day, well most of the day was sunny but there was a little rain this morning, something to do with thunder storms over France.

As far as we are concerned, they can keep them!

The Missus has been getting all the washing done, the important stuff, like the ferret blankets and our doggy blankets that go on the sofa and the bits of chopped up towels that Old Two Legs uses to give our butt a wash when we get the 'Grumbly Tum'!

First thing this morning it looked horrid, dark grey skies and even the ducks were still hanging about!

Not exactly the brightest of starts!
Last night it was raining and we came across a snail that had climbed up to get out of the wet grass.

It had climbed up and the wrapped it's 'Foot' around the branch and over his head, just to stop the rain from soaking his hair do!

Wot I really need is an umbrella!
Later on the sun came out and Holly got trapped on OTL's desk, well, OTL lifted her up and plonked her on the top then did some trimming of her legs and paws 'cos OTL says that the hair was getting 'A bit 'Thick' and it needed a trim.

Ever since he has got these trimming tools he seems to want to give us a trim almost every week!

The post has brought his 'Confirmation of Booking' from the Hadlow College where he has enrolled in a course to teach him to cut our hair properly!

It contained a receipt for the money and a list of 'Useful Information', like where to park the car, where to meet the tutor, wear closed toe footwear, oh and bring a packed lunch. Then they tell you that you will get both Hairy and Wet!

As if he didn't know that!

Lunch time we were down the beach again but without the ferrets 'cos OTL says it would be too hot for them.

When we got down there, expecting to have some fun digging the ball up, what did we see?

Tourists! Loads of them taking up all the room on the Sea Wall and even on our beach!

Look, they are sitting on top of the hole!
That was it, back we headed to the car and bumped into this lot, woofing their tails off at us as if we were tourists!

Holly did one of her 'Big WOOFS' and that shut them up!

Woof off of our beach!
The Missus had a glum face today, it seems that her favourite battery powered carpet sweeper has finally rolled over and died! There was a sort of cough, then a phutt and finally a phisssst, then nothing!

So tomorrow we are expecting a new one to arrive!

That should be fun, especially if the ferrets get hold of it!

See you tomorrow!

Sandholes and Ferrets!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

It has been one of those 'Early Days' you know, wake up too early, try to get back to sleep only to have The Missus flying around the house with her jet powered vacuum cleaner!

Nothing for it, we get up and head off to the beach!

You can tell it's early, the ducks are still asleep!
Even May and Eric had trouble waking up. The thought of digging a hole and having a roll was there but actually getting going was difficult!

If I roll over, I'll go to sleep again!
You know it was just too early, I mean, we didn't even see another woofer!

Back home Holly and I had a snooze on the bed while Old Two Legs was 'Poo Shoveling' in the ferret cages!

He had an appointment with the dentist so the 'Shovelling' was done at speed!

The vet did his inspection and couldn't find a tooth that needed filling! Being foiled he said that a back tooth needed 'Watching' so instead of six monthly inspection he decided that OTL needed an inspection every three months!

So, before he was allowed out he had to make an appointment for the 6th November!

One good thing, before he came home he dropped into the Doggy Shop and got us some treats and a couple of bottles of disinfectant that OTL uses when cleaning the cages.

As soon as he got back we were off down the beach again and this time Wendy and Freddy decided they wanted to come as well, even though it was rather warm out!

Freddy spent some time digging a hole while Miss Wendy went off hunting Nargles in amongst the sea weed!

I think a Nargle went this way!
Wendy was diving in and out of the sea weed, ferreting around under the rocks. She reckons she could sniff the Nargles but she just couldn't get her claws on it!

One day I'll get hold of one!
Holly and I had a great time digging holes and I even found a rather manky ball that had been well chewed!

Super Hole this is!
It was so good that Holly Chops joined in the digging and we wouldn't allow the ferrets to take over the digging!

Holly and I were digging for all our worth and the hole was getting deeper and wider and the ferrets kept well clear!

This is a 'Two Woofer' hole!
Sadly, we had to head for home and OTL had to carry Freddy almost all the way back 'cos it was getting too warm for him to jog all the way back!

Back home both ferrets soon were fast asleep and so were we!

This digging can certainly tire a girl out!

I think we will have to take a lesson from Archie Babe and spend more time having cuddles instead of working our paws to the bone digging holes!

See you all tomorrow!

Sunday as it should be!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a super day it's been. We have had sunshine almost all day today.

Last night Old Two Legs wanted to stay up and try some photographs of the meteors that were supposed to be flying in but when he looked there were clouds, high up, so no stars and no meteors either!

Still, this morning on the beach he got a shot of the moon, well the first is wot he took and the second is wot he produced on the computer!

Well, wot do you expect with just a 35mm lens?
After a bit of playing about..........

Same picture, cropped, zoomed in and fiddly diddly on the computer!
We saw a couple of woofers walking along the Sea Wall but in the end they turned off the path and headed back to the car park!

Look! Woofers!
Back home it was cage cleaning and then OTL took down the weather monitoring thingy from the roof. It has been giving some funny readings lately, like temperature out side being 90 degrees and humidity 100%!

He got it down, reset it all, cleaned out the rain gauge, re-booted the system and found out it didn't change much!

Me thinks the system is going into terminal's stuffed!

So maybe he will be looking at another system with a bit more life in it!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again, loads of tourists wandering about and the car park full. We normally park around the corner at lunchtimes but today we didn't take the ferrets 'cos it was too warm. They stayed snoozing while we went off sniffing!

Holly and Daisy sniffin' for rabbits!
Holly has been looking for rabbits on our walks but lately they have been hiding, still, she is taking up 'Point' while I stay behind for a sniff!

They are here, I just know they are here!
The Missus has been up the Village Hall with her  Master Class again and has been producing some 'Journal Pages' which look rather interesting!

OTL is off to the dentist tomorrow, seems they have invited him in for a 'Check-up', it goes like this.

'Open Wide..........Mmmmmmm! You need a filling or two, the inspection is an arm and a leg and the fillings will be another arm and a leg. Oh! and by the way, the injections will not work until you are out of the chair and half way home!'

Poor OTL, it is as expensive as a vet bill!

Mind you, we always have the opportunity of biting the vet!

Can you bite the dentist?

See you tomorrow!

Short Back and Sides and a Bit off the Butt!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We like Saturdays, you see there is always a chance that The Missus is off to her Master Class or Gas & Glitter Day at the local village Hall. That leaves us in the hands of Old Two Legs who, after doing all his jobs, has a game with the ferrets and then Holly and I!

First thing this morning we were down on the beach and looking at the clouds we thought we might be in for some rain!

Early Morning on the North Kent Coast
We started off by having a roll in the sand. Well, to start off the ferrets did all the rolling and we had to stand back and wait!

Anyone would think they owned the beach!
Miss May hadn't had a run yesterday so she was well up for a good roll, she even tried kicking Eric out of the hole!

When you haven't had a roll for some time, the first roll feels just great!
I thought that I'd have a go at getting them out but Eric got all big and brave and tried to give me a 'Ferret Kiss'!

Gerroff out of our hole!
Back home OTL set about doing his jobs and when he started off cleaning Eric and May's cage he had a nasty shock. There were two piles of poo that were red!

I mean, if Holly or I had done something like that we'd be straight off down the vet's complete with blue flashing lights and loud sirens!

After the first bit of panic, OTL took a closer look at piles of poo.

Now, a little while ago we took delivery of a box of Ferretone and the supplier had put a packet of Ferret Treats in with the Ferretone. Eric loved the treats and so did Freddy Boy. May and Wendy didn't bother, so the lads made pigs of themselves.

Unfortunately, the treats were covered in a vegetable dye which turned their poo blood red!

OTL dumped the treats, fearing there may be stuff in there that might upset their tummies!

On inspection of the poo piles, they were exactly the same colour!

Panic over!

It looks like one of the ferrets had hidden the treats only to be dug out again from under the piles of stuff in TM's Store Room!

After all the jobs had been done Holly got another Bath and hair cut!

As she was the first to be 'experimented on' by OTL and his clippers. She was OK on the body but her legs ended up being a bit 'Hairy', so, OTL did a quick trim on her back and tummy then set about doing her legs. Holly was a good girl and although she wiggled about a bit, most of the time she stood still.

OTL says that he may have another go next week and try to improve the 'Cut'.

He also says that I may get a trim as well, mind you, he'll have to catch me first!

While he was clearing everything up he managed to trip over and hurt his ankle, poor lad, that will teach him to pick his paws up!

See you tomorrow!

It's Friday, again!

Hi Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We got up late today, Old Two Legs over slept by a whole thirty minutes!

You just can't trust these TL's!

When we went in to see the ferrets we noticed that Miss May was looking a bit off colour. She had got what Holly suffers from........Grumbly Tum!

She was all well yesterday, bright as a button but this morning all she wanted to do was go back to bed!

OTL cleared out the cage and shovelled out all the poo!

Miss May was put back to bed while Eric got ready for a run on the beach.

Getting out a bit later than normal we noticed that everyone had come and gone!

We had the place to ourselves!

Holly and I had a run up and down the beach while Eric decided that he would try a little sunbathing.

It's no good, I'm missing May!
He would normally have a game with May but today he was on his own and you could tell he was missing her.

We got back and she was still sleeping in her bed but when she heard us she wanted to get out and have a little rampage around the house!

It didn't last long and after a couple of poo's she decided to go back to bed.

She has been waking up during the day for a cuddle with OTL and slurp of Ferretone, then she is back off for another snooze!

We hope she get's better soon.

OTL has been 'Manufacturing' and even The Missus helped, well she took the stuff down to the carrier for shipment!

Lunchtime Fred and Wendy came out for a walk but it was getting a bit warm, so Freddy kept blagging a lift off OTL!

Tomorrow OTL reckons that it would be good to give Holly another haircut 'cos her 'Boots' are looking too big!

As she was the first that OTL tried out the clippers on she has one or two 'Mistakes'!

So, providing the sun is shinning she is destined for a bit of serious pampering!

TM is off to her Master Class so after the cage cleaning and hair cutting we are going to sit down and watch the Game of Thrones that has been recorded!

See you all tomorrow!
